Out of the 100's

We can hardly believe how nice it is today. It's noon and we have all the air conditioners off and just a couple of fans on and it feels great!! I hope this means the really hot days of summer are over.

Adjusting to the Heat

We are finding that it is possible to adjust to 110 degrees every day for days at a time. Scott and I are getting a little cabin fever because we can not spend much time outside. We have been able to keep the inside temperature at about 80 degrees. Some times I get up at 5:30am to walk and its already 80 degrees. It is so peaceful at that time of the morning and you get to see all the little creatures waking up. (Rabbits, doves, wood peekers, finches, quails, chipmunks, groundhog mice, a linx and road runners, but not snakes so far). They all make such unique sounds ( natures' music). I wish I knew the words to the song they are singing. We have pictures of all our children and their families on our computer screen saver and we up date them from facebook and their blogs. Technology is great when it lets you see your family!!

I just love the sunsets in Arizona.
We had a little rain today and the sunset was just so great

We have a dove nesting in the palm tree out side. It has been between 105 and 115 during the day for the last couple of weeks and she sits there so patiently waiting I don't know how she can stand the heat. I know it must be her motherly love.
